Vice President, Finance Job Opening in Manchester, New hampshire - Due to continued growth and expansion, our client, a fourth generation Commercial Building Contractor is looking to add a new level of financial expertise to its team of high end construction industry professionals.
Reporting to the President, the Vice President, Finance will be instrumental in working with existing accounting and finance personnel to streamline operations and reporting while setting the larger goals and direction for the team to operate in a financial partnership with construction operations and sales.
This key player in the long term success of the firm will also bring the knowledge of how larger firms achieve success and manage expectations for growth in an outward looking, financing and deal structuring capacity as well as an inward looking, operational efficiency capacity.
The ideal candidate will be on a near term career path to assume the Chief Financial Officer position.
Responsibilities:
Key advisor to the president and decision makers
Responsible for periodic financial statement reporting and management reporting
Oversee timely project budgets and reporting and identify variances and areas of concern
Work closely with Project Managers and operations to keep projects profitable
Drive the company?s overall financial planning and budgeting process
Implement investment and risk management strategies
Forecast and manage company cash flow from projects, operations and investments
Responsible for finance team?s performance and direction as well as day to day performance
Evaluate and upgrade systems, policies and procedures to streamline reporting and efficiencies
Develop relationships with Financing partners, Clients and key vendors and subcontractors
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
Proven experience in a VP Finance role
Construction industry experience required
In depth knowledge of risk management practices
Proficient with ERP systems implementations and upgrades
Experience with Timberline Software a plus
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
CPA preferred
MBA is a plus
