Experienced Accountant needed for a Manufacturing Company! Temp to Hire.
The Accounting Manager oversees all financial and accounting activities. Candidates should have an excellent understanding of manufacturing processes.
Will have direct supervision over general accounting, cost accounting, AP & AP, etc. Should have a "hands-on" approach to management.
Duties for the Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager include:
Ensuring timely reporting of all monthly financial information
Completes and analyses the annual budget
Analysis of the monthly operating results
Will work closely with the auditing firm to ensure an accurate ad timely monthly/yearly report
Ensures that adequate controls have been established and are being followed
Supports the Sales & Marketing and Production teams with customer and product profitability analysis
Maintains and reduces slow or obsolete inventory issues
Reports on sales volume, manufacturing & distribution costs and overhead allocations
Other duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager:
Monitoring compliance with company policies
Monitoring cash receipts and controls disbursements
Establish & Maintain credit and collection procedures
Occasional daily commuting to the Rochester NH location is required
Requirements for the Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager:
BS degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA, CMA or CPA a plus
10+ years of experience in accounting
At least 5 years of similar experience in a manufacturing setting
Knowledge of the following: finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principals, financial analysis, producing financial reports, statements & projections
Excellent oral & written communications skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel
Knowledge of automated finance & accounting reporting systems
