You have a passion for Marketing, Media, Communications and want to become one of those really great Salespeople you hear about, our small 10 person company is a unique, fun place to grow with. We are as far from corporate as you can get, so you won't be getting any shiny glass ceilings. In fact, we have a "homey" office environment. We're just a collective group of passionate creative, rag tag, bootstrappers producing work they love.
You have that ambitious personality. You show up and bust butt no matter what job you do and want a way to be rewarded for all that extra work. Its one of the top reasons people go into sales. The other is "to give sales a try".
Only one of these motivators brings success. That's because sales is probably the hardest job in any business. It doesn't take being "good with people" or magic to succeed in sales. It takes perseverance, follow through, and coming back even after being shot down. It takes a lot of hard work and resilience. The age old problem for any company is finding that tenacity in the people they employ as salespeople. The saying is that 70% of sales are made after the 9th call, but 70% of salespeople give up after the 3rd.
The biggest failure seen with sales people is when they hit the rejection they give up. But those that pick themselves back up, brush themselves off and go back at it again are the ones who achieve the highest success. (It is also the key ingredient to learning to minimize the rejection.)
Why go into sales if it's so hard than? The rewards.
Sales people grow into CEO's, they grow into entrepreneurs, they grow into leaders, they are the Rainmakers and they have the ability to grow their income any day of the week. As a business manager it is easier to find that person who understands that "No does not mean No". It is easier to not have to teach someone how to write a proposal, how to make calls, how to book appts and how to capture a new client.
Really, great sales people are hard to find. Too many people give up before becoming great. And those that go onto success, are already working succeeding. So we are open to you if you are "green" or "seasoned" you just have to be ready to hit the pavement doing cold calls, setting appts and of course follow through and persistence! After all the purpose of sales is to create new clients who are willing to spend money with you.
We are a local Boulder County publishing business who has faired well in training those "diamonds in the rough" and it has paid dividends for us when the person willing to do the hard work shows up. We have developed our own long-term, great salespeople. We have had many come through our doors, stay and grow and when they leave grow into the next great chapter of their lives. We can and will teach you to be a rainmaker ? IF you are willing to do what it takes to be successful. (One of those is not giving up when it gets hard.)
We offer a guaranteed base, plus salary bonuses and aggressive commissions based on meeting quotas. It wont be the easiest thing you have ever done, and in fact, we can almost guarantee it will be the hardest. Our "go-getters" earn between $50-$65,000 their first year and upwards of $75-$85,000 their second year. It isn't easy money, it's are an extremely creative house with a team of 10. We too started small and have grown over the years. But we remain a small company doing big things after all these years.
