Staff Accountant I Job Opening in Charleston, South carolina - STAFF ACCOUNTANT I
The Staff Accountant will be an integral member of the accounting/finance function by assisting the Director of Operations in managing daily operations of our growing business. This position will be exposed to basic accounting procedures and principles ranging from accounts payable and receivable, to financial statement preparation and analysis. This is a new position at The FLEXX with strong potential for growth and high visibility to all departments in the company.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES A/P & A/R ? will own entire process
Receiving, coding, and entering all invoices and expense reports into accounting system
Processing, reconciling, and archiving corporate credit card statements
Assist factoring company with accounts receivable; posting, reconciling and monitoring of A/R
Maintaining W9?s for all vendors and issuing 1099?s yearly
Cash
Bank reconciliations
Maintaining schedules to support monthly financial reports
Assisting with annual audit preparation

Must be detail oriented and have ability to self-motivate
Presents ideas through clear and concise communication, both written and verbal
Has demonstrated the ability to manage multiple priorities in order to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external sources
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE
B.S. in Accounting is a plus
2-4 years? experience in a general accounting position; retail or wholesale experience a plus
Expertise in Excel
Knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise a plus
