Position Summary: This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of Insurance Billing and Follow-up representatives who work together to reduce outstanding insurance balances and improve cash flow for physician groups and hospitals. Doing this important work allows physicians and hospitals to focus on what they do best ? taking care of patients.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Work directly with payers to obtain claim status and aggressively pursue resolution of outstanding claims.
Achieve productivity and quality standards.
Recommend new approaches for enhancing performance and productivity.
Maintain an appropriate amount of accounts receivable by consistent follow-up that results in timely payments.
Resolve claim edits in clearinghouse.
Maintain highly accurate notes in the claim tracking system that ensures an accurate and complete history of actions taken.
Job Requirements
Working knowledge of Healthcare Revenue Cycle/ Insurance billing practices required.
Experience required of 3+ years in the following areas :
Medicare, Medicaid, HMO and Commercial payer follow up by phone or by accessing the payers web portal.
Experience with resolving payer denials.
Billing hospital and physician claims through clearinghouse as well as hardcopy.
Secondary billing
Appeals
Must be able to multitask, problem solve, and have excellent attention to detail.
High school Diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred
Hourly rate: Starting $14.00 plus- based on experience of insurance follow up.
