Training Specialist & LMS Administrator Job Opening in Charlotte, North carolina - The Training Specialist and LMS Administrator is responsible for day-to-day management and continuing operation of the Learning Management System (LMS). The administrator will be responsible for content maintenance, system configuration, upgrades and support to internal employees and departments. Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of the learning management system (Joerns University through Absorb).
Major Duties & Responsibilities :
Lead the day-to-day operation, maintenance, upgrades, analysis and administration of LMS.
Define, develop and maintain the LMS to ensure consistent and well-integrated database infrastructure.
Review of all training material for accuracy before approving and publishing to users, and maintain an accurate and up-to-date monthly training calendar and master course catalog.
Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP), best practices, and guidelines for the LMS.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to inform, prepare, and assist in the review, testing, and implementation of all system upgrades or patches.
Communicate with the business partners and Director of HR to understand business needs related to the system(s) and how to most effectively and efficiently meet those requirements.
Train associates on the functionality and processes of the LMS.
Monitor and test newly published/uploaded online courses, materials, and instructor-led workshops within the LMS.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems with course design, LMS configuration, and infrastructure.
Act as liaison between HR process owners and IT team.
Provide support to end-users, answering questions about the application, following up on any reported issues and ensuring timely and reliable response.
Effectively facilitate and deliver the Field Service Technician training program at JHC corporate offices to newly hired Field Service Technicians
Assist with development of training platforms and programs to grow talent at varying tenure levels in areas of product knowledge and leadership skills
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education :
Bachelor?s Degree Required
Required Skills & Experience :
Two (2+) years of combined experience with HRIS, learning and/or performance systems administration
Two (2+) years of experience in database management and/or maintenance.
Experience using Microsoft Excel for the creation of reports and/or analytics.
Strong organizational problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage many simultaneous projects to meet business goals and objectives.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to deliver clear, concise information and direction to partners and internal teams.
Highly technology literate; quickly learns new applications and tools.
Preferred Skills, Experience & Education :
Proven abilities in project management methodology and execution; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal stakeholders.
Ability to effectively solve problems, make decisions and take action, exercising solid independent judgment.
Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
