Deli Sales Associate Job Opening in Gray, Maine - An outstanding opportunity to join Hannaford's retail team as a Deli Associate. As a Deli Associate you will be responsible for assisting the Department Manager and working with a team of associates within the department. Must meet 18 yr. old minimum age requirement
Assist customers with selection of product and provide excellent customer service. Treat all co-workers, associates and customers with fairness, dignity and respect.
Develop and expand knowledge of the deli and deli products, including packaging, merchandising, storage, and preparation techniques according to company standards.
Support company safety, sanitation and food safety standards. Report and communicate effectively company policies and standards with your team.
Must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Requirements
Must meet minimum age requirements. (minimum 18 yrs. of age)
Must meet physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Perform assigned tasks such as replenishing merchandise, preparation of food products, or setting up displays.
Must have the ability to stand or walk 100% of the time.
Must have the ability to lift cases or packages of meat/deli products up to 40 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. on occasion.
Understand and use company tools such as; standard practice manuals, slicers, scales and use hands to operate controls, feel objects and use tools to open boxes/cases or to prepare and clean produce.
Handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials and meat products.
