Regional Sales Manager Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - Position Summary
Achieve sales and profit objectives through effective leadership in: developing sales managers; good recruiting habits; developing regional initiatives that support corporate strategies and facilitate the implementation of corporate programs. Regional Managers report to the VP of Sales.
Position Responsibilities
Meet or exceed sales, headcount growth and profit growth targets monthly, quarterly and annually.
Lead the staffing of the sales organization with the right people with effective sourcing and hiring utilizing advanced Area Sales Managers assistance.
Written planning, training, development and coaching of field sales managers.
Identify, train, develop and coach future Area Sales Managers within region, leading by example.
Establish clear regional goals and sales targets through comprehensive planning and accurate forecasting.
Understand, enforce, reinforce and support corporate policies and guidelines in a consistent, professional manner.
Act as a liaison between field sales and company headquarters.
Assist the Large Account Management Group with the development and oversight of key accounts within region.
Create and maintain professional image.
Complete paperwork necessary to fulfill position responsibilities.
Promote Corporate marketing and promotional programs.
Assist in Corporate sales associate classroom training at home office.
Experience/Skills Required
At least 5 years field sales management experience
Ability to compose sensitive, non-routine correspondence requiring tact and diplomacy and/or complex reports or summaries for which established formats generally do not exist.
Ability to improve existing systems/procedures which periodically result in new ideas or approaches of significance
. * Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization in writing and verbally, exclusive of voicemail.
Ability to prioritize goals and achieve results within defined deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple tasks at any one time and deliver on time within budget.
Ability to deliver presentations regarding potentially controversial issues.
Ability to solve a wide range of complex, multi-disciplinary problems which must consider short and intermediate term impact.
