Area Sales Lead Job Opening in Evansville, Wisconsin - The Area Sales Lead drives sales expansion and customer service by providing direction and vision to the hub?s Agronomy Account Managers (AAMs). This entails recruiting staff, training, coaching and directing the AAMs. Working together with the Area Business Manager, the Area Sales Lead maintains profit margins and assures the bottom line net profit of the hub.
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
Minimum five (5) years of agronomy sales experience, including coaching, mentoring and/or training sales staff.
Knowledge of all agronomic product lines and an extensive sales background including face to face selling. Traits desired are persuasiveness, assertiveness, tenacity, persistence, resilience, competitive adeptness, credit worthiness and product proficiency.
An influential leader with high ethical standards and a sound knowledge of business processes, management, budgeting, analytical thought process and good judgment.
A well organized and self-directed leader who is a team player. An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization. Must possess excellent communication skills.
A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor.
A momentous leader who is able to divide attention, keep rapid momentum and drive sales expansion and customer service.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Coaches AAMs in the assigned hub to create "best in class" agronomy sales staff. Sets goals for individual AAMs and monitors progress by measuring results. Coordinates the quarterly review of AAMs, recognizing performance successes and developing performance plans as needed.
Organizes and leads sales team meetings to assure that all AAMs understand and implement new sales techniques or new products/services. Accompanies AAMs on calls to current customers and prospects to further develop sales skills and expand customer base and territory.
Provides overall sales leadership for the assigned hub. Promotes a team atmosphere and builds loyalty for Landmark. Introduces new products, services and technology to the hub sales staff and drives their implementation.
Maintains margins set for products. Monitors sales and margins looking for slippage. Develops AAMs skills in selling for quality and service rather than on price.
Develops growth strategies. Collaborates with other divisions to gain new business. Drives expansion of sales, customer base and territory in assigned hub. Monitors and proposes changes in technology, products and service offerings.
