Software Engineer, Machine Learning, USA Job Opening in New York, New york - A permanent position with , a leading startup that lives and breathes Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) and which has built up an impressive client portfolio of Fortune 500 companies.
Where you?ll be working
The position entails a combination of:
Telecommuting (home-based/remote) work
Between 25% and 50% of your time working at customer sites in various parts of the US
An initial 2-week to 4-week period working at our headquarters, in Vienna, Austria
Your base location in the US is flexible but preferably in the Eastern Time Zone, for maximum working-day overlap with our Austria development team. Ideal would be New York, where some of our biggest customers are located.
What you?ll be working on
Applying state-of-the-art NLP and machine learning techniques to solving real-world use cases in large businesses
Working closely with our clients, including big names in the financial world, to install and customize our AI-powered technology for diverse and fascinating use cases
What you must have
One of the following:
A master?s degree in computer science, AI, machine learning, information retrieval, or NLP
Equivalent practical experience in one of the above fields
Experience with Java or any other major object-oriented programming language
NLP knowledge and understanding
A good working proficiency in written and oral English
Good communication skills, for interaction with technical and business people at all levels of customers? organizations
Authorization to work in the US
Willingness to travel in the US and internationally for 25% to 50% of your time
It would be great if you also had:
Three or more years? experience as software engineer or machine learning engineer
A PhD in NLP, information retrieval, machine learning, or AI
Practical experience with NLP frameworks
Experience in design and implementation of software libraries
Experience in customer-facing roles
Experience with linked-data technologies
