What you?ll be doing:
As VP of Software Engineering, you will be a technical leader and architect for building out the digital end-to-end guest experience at Porter & Sail. You will be the advocate and lead for technology, processes, and implementation in development. You will work closely with the Product team and upper management to translate business requirements into technical solutions. You will also contribute to the foundational framework of building, recruiting and managing an in-house software development 're looking to grow our dev/product team from 3 to 7+ over the next several months.
What we?re looking for:
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline.
At least 10 years experience in building applications from the ground up and can contribute in all the product lifecycle phases: ideation > product & UX/UI specs > technical specs > server infrastructure implementation > backend and frontend development.
Experience leading and growing a lean engineering team.
You have a solid foundation in best practices for software design, object-oriented principles, and API and database design. Engineers will come to you to lead on architecture and code design implementations.
You can lead on solutions for development processes and tools to streamline development.
You keep up with new technologies and know when to apply them.
You have an entrepreneurial spirit and look for ways to get things done in lean and quick ways and can balance out technical debt.
You have current US work authorization.
You must love to travel and eat.

You have built and published your own iOS or Android mobile apps and like to dabble in your own side projects to learn new technologies.
