Housing Compliance Specialist Job Opening in Idaho Falls, Idaho - Position is located in Boise, Idaho area
Somerset Pacific is accepting resumes for a qualified Compliance Specialist who specializes in the affordable housing Community (Section 42) industry. This position will be located at our corporate office in Garden City, Idaho.
Position Summary: The Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring all LIHTC, RD, HUD, and any other applicable Federal and State regulations are properly followed to ensure compliance at all sites and projects within the Management Portfolio.
Essential Functions:
Knowledge of LIHTC, Rural Development, HUD, ADA, State Manuals, and Fair Housing laws and regulations in multi-states.
Reviewing Move In and re-certifications documents to ensure all paperwork is provided and within state guidelines
Responding to managers within the allotted time frame
Submitting accurate annual reports on time to the Compliance Director
Inputting information into the selected software programs
Being accessible to the managers and able to clearly communicate LIHTC and other applicable compliance related issues
Training new managers
Tracking files and inputting information onto spreadsheets
Scanning, Filing, and answering phones
Position Qualifications
Yardi, One Site or other property management software experience
Proficient knowledge of Section 42 Tax Credits, RD, HUD
Excellent Problem Solving skills
Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given guidelines
Self Sufficient - Ability to do tasks on their own and self motivate
Excellent Verbal & Written Skills required
Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel
Salary DOE
40 hours per week
