The HVAC Sales Engineer position is responsible for the application and sales of heating and air conditioning equipment in commercial and industrial buildings.
MAJOR :
Responsible for the acquisition of orders by managing an existing portfolio of customers as well as developing new business relationships with consulting engineers, design-build contractors, end-users and mechanical contractors
Analyze customer?s needs by understanding design requirements and the application of available product features and performance. Engineer solutions that meet the technical and budget requirements of the client.
Assist consulting engineers in selecting equipment to meet project performance requirements and develop specifications that document the product features necessary to meet those requirements.
Work with inside application engineering team to generate accurate project proposals, coordinate scheduling and deliver project documentation.
Promote the product portfolio and the company by participating in local industry associations, networking groups and trade shows.
Prepare and deliver promotional and educational presentations to consulting engineers, design-build contractors, end-users and mechanical contractors
Maintain knowledge of competitive products and system performance, including understanding of current market pricing.
Attend project job meetings and walk-throughs.
Participate in on-going career development and training programs to keep pace with the latest technology and applications.
Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to management
Collaborate with fellow sales associates to enhance the services provided to our marketplace and our customers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent from a four-year college or university
Prior sales exposure preferred
Knowledge of building construction as well mechanical system design and operation preferred
Excellent customer service and time management skills
Valid Driver?s License required
Personal vehicle
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
Ability to work in a 100% commissionable environment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct reports

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to work in an office at a desk during administrative activities such as working on a computer.
At customer sites associate needs to survey the site and evaluate the equipment this may involve climbing ladders, accessing electrical rooms, gain access to equipment on a roof, climb scaffolding or climb down into a small space. May be required to wear protected personal gear.
