The position requires small business tax & accounting background with strong communication and customer service skills along with the ability to interact professionally with clients and all staff levels. Proficiency with MS Office, QuickBooks, ProSeries, PPC & Engagement a plus.
The Senior Staff Accountant has direct client interaction providing strategic consultative services and overall management responsibility for marshaling the firm?s resources to meet the client?s tax and accounting needs. This position provides for on-site business & QuickBooks consulting, manages and oversees financial analysis, tax return preparation and financial statement compilations and reviews. A high degree of interaction with owners/principals is required.
The position requires a Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA license or license eligible and 3+ years recent public accounting experience including tax return preparation (Corps, Partnerships, LLC & Individuals). An ability to effectively manage staff and efficiently delegate work responsibilities and prior experience operating in a paperless environment are a must. A willingness to actively participate in new business generation is highly desirable.
