IP Transfer Specialist Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - The IP File Transfer Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and triaging of incoming IP files, auditing file histories and docketing bibliographic details and accompanying deadline information in Inprotech as well as creating profile details of each new case. The Transfer Specialist will inventory physical files and electronic data into the file transfer database, creating matter titles and bibliographic details for Elite and Legal Key. He/she will prepare and file Assignments, Revocation and Power of Attorney documents and communicate with both clients and Attorneys on formality status. The ideal candidate will possess at least 2-4 years of high-level US and Foreign Patent/Trademark IP experience; proficiency with US and Foreign Patent and Trademark office websites and the ability to research and locate data; advanced Paralegal, Formalities and IP Docket experience and working knowledge of LegalKEY and Elite or other billing and records software. Other requirements include knowledge of IP rules in both US and International Patent and Trademark markets, working knowledge of IP docket systems and docket progressions, ability to evaluate and build IP family relationships and history, ability to audit Patent and Trademark file histories to determine priority dates, a high level attention to detail and deadline orientation, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and proven organization and communication skills. A high school diploma is required, however; a bachelor?s degree or technical training beyond high school is preferred.
