Accountant Job Opening in Tallahassee, Florida - Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the preparation of timely and accurate quarterly and annual financial statements for a large real estate portfolio
- Preparing and reviewing timely and accurate quarterly data submission to various mortgage companies and consultants
- Interacting with the COO and Regional Managers in on-going operational matters
- Working with accounting professionals on real estate transaction to ensure a thorough understanding of the required accounting and tax reporting necessary for the transactions
- Assist in managing and completing multiple processes within tight deadlines while responding to various requests from many parties
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- 3-5 years of financial statement preparation and review experience required
- 3-5 years of real estate accounting experience required
- Working knowledge in General Ledger accounting required
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as it relates to fair market value of real estate and/or related investments.
- Understanding of data validation and flow as it relates to the set-up/maintenance of multiple sets of books
-Must have valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
-Must be detailed oriented and able to work in a fast pace environment.
Prior to hiring, the selected applicant will be required to successfully pass a background screening, drug test, and an accounting skills test.
