Quality Engineer Job Opening in Versailles, Connecticut - Amgraph Packaging, Inc . is one of North America?s leaders in environmental stewardship and is recognized as the top ?Green? We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to lead our Quality Programs and Food Safety initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Lead Company?s Food Safety and Quality programs.
Head Administrator of Document Control System ( Ensure)
Lead Annual SQF, refresher and new hire training, maintain all elements of the SQF level 3 Scheme
Lead Annual Verification and Validation Audits
Provide guidance to the latest food safety, and food quality compliance programs, GFSI, FSMA, HACCP, SQF, FSC and Sustainability and Ethical Sourcing as it applies to a flexible packaging plant.
Implementation and continuance specifically; FDA CFR 21 initiatives.
Manage Customer Complaints; provide Root Cause, Corrective and Preventative Actions; measure effectiveness, support CSIE manager with reports by Customer.
Manage Daily Nonconformance Internal/Supplier; Root Cause, Corrective and Preventative Actions and publish reports, support CSIE manager with reports for Supplier meetings.
Professional interaction with shop floor employees; educating, troubleshooting, and creating training documentation for new product implementation at shop floor level.
Supporting the manufacturing departments by; Training team members and working in close collaboration to develop new and improved procedures and/or processes.
Lead company?s War on Waste to include system improvements; as well as improvements to existing manufacturing processes, auditing skill based activities.
Implement Visual Factory Initiative
Travel is required up to 10% of the time based on professional development and company needs.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree required.
Experience in managing document control systems, using ERP systems for traceability, lab equipment calibrations, Plant auditing, FSMA, HACCP, SMED, RC/CA, Lean Manufacturing,
Fluent at Excel, Access, Word, Power point, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Project a plus
Familiarity of packaging materials and their functional properties in packaging application a plus.
Familiarity with the machinery used to form, fill, seal, and handle various packaging, products, and packaging materials a plus.
Working knowledge of food safety, and food quality compliance programs, federal and local regulatory matters; to include safety and environmental concerns. Professional experience with these matters is a plus.
Project management experience.
Experience with process a plus.
Self-starter, initiating functional improvements with constant effort towards cost reductions and/or increased productivity and salability.
Professionalism in a collaborative work environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.
