We are looking for a chef or someone with a strong culinary background who would like to get into seafood and gourmet food sales. We are Hawaii's premier shellfish & gourmet seafood distributor and we serve Hawaii's finest restaurants and resort hotels.
We are looking for an energetic, focused and organized individual to join our sales team. The work environment is fast-paced, interesting, fun and requires a self-motivated person who enjoys meeting and talking with Chefs.
You will be working alongside a former executive hotel chef and seafood connoisseurs who share their knowledge and love for seafood. You will take part in evaluating seafood from around the world and have the opportunity to interact with renowned and upcoming chefs throughout the islands.
Responsibilities included but not limited to:
*Servicing the needs of our clients
*Visiting clients and sampling products with executive chefs
*Entering sales orders into the computer system
*Participating in developing strategic and marketing plans
*Providing product information/prices to customers through various media
*Attendance and participation in various weekly meetings
*Purchasing products from vendors and coordinating the related logistics
Required skills:
*Strong communication skills
*Knowledge of the local culinary world
*Solid knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel & Word
*Must be able to start work at 6:00am
*Must be available to work periodically on Saturdays
