Controller Job Opening in Kennesaw, Georgia - The Controller will have primary responsibility for managing day-to-day activities of Accounting: General Accounting, Reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI?s), Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, and Management of Internal Controls. The Controller will also organize forecasts for proposed projects of the Company, measure actual performance against operating plans and interpret the results of operations. The Controller has reports that include: AR Manager, AP Clerk and Cost Accountant. Must be able to be successful in small/medium size family owned company.
Responsibilities:
Organize, direct and control all accounting functions, including journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.
Prepare and review corporate financial statements and all related supporting schedules for completeness, accuracy and too ensure compliance with GAAP and Company policies
Prepare and file quarterly and annual returns, including Sales & Use Tax, and statutory filings
Manage AP and AR
Coordinate and manage the year-end audit, preparing schedules as required by external CPA?s.
Maintain the Capital Expense Budget.
Assist in the Annual Plan process.
Assist with ?Due Diligence? of acquisition candidates
Coordinate corporate insurance policies, claims reporting and renewals
Assist with Margin Improvement and Overhead reduction projects.
Report KPI?s to the Management Team
Maintain Stockholder & Stock Option Records
The successful Candidate will have the following:
Strong Communications and Interpersonal skills
BS in Accounting
10+ years of related experience with a Manufacturing company.
Experience managing a staff of professional accountants
Experience in CPG Consumer Package Goods a Plus.
A CPA or CMP a plus
GP Dynamics Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
