Job Summary : The OJT CNA is responsible for assisting licensed nurses and certified nursing aides in the delivery of resident care through the use of teamwork and communication. Under the direction of the nurse the OJT CNA completes tasks that are beneficial to the resident while supporting the staff so medical related cares can be managed.
Job Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent
Commitment to scheduled work hours with expectation of obtaining Certification to become Nursing Aide
Experience working and communicating with seniors
Completion of on-site orientation program will be given to obtain desired entry level

DUTIES:
PUBLIC RELATIONS:
Assist other department in and hosting activities that bring the
community to the facility (I.e. family picnic, parties, community coffee, Community Service Programs, Entertainment, Community Groups, Newsletters, Volunteer Program)
Maintains good relations with residents, family members, community guests, team members
Provides effective communication with other individuals (i.e. courtesy when answering the phones, assists visitors, guests and residents in finding their way around the building, does not gossip about, degrade or tarnish the reputation of the facility or any fellow team member)
RESIDENTS
Reports Vulnerable Adult issues to their director supervisor as
Visits with residents routinely regarding cares, activities, menus, likes and dislikes
Offers resolution or a visit from the appropriate individual who may offer resolution to any dislikes or concerns and communicates those with direct
Ensures any grievance is documented and reported to either supervising RN or Director or Nursing.

Serves meals & snacks to residents when requested
Assists with set up of meals in dining room.
Assist in dining rooms as requested.

Transport residents to and from dining rooms, activities and appointments as needed.

Stock supplies in supply cabinets and resident rooms
Places soiled laundry in dirty hoppers, transfers to laundering area for
