National company with Corporate offices located in Baton Rouge is searching for a Tax Coordinator.
The Tax Coordinator will be responsible for multi-state sales and use tax compliance, vendor and customer tax corrections and the system setup of customer taxability. This position will also assist with sales and use tax audits and vendor tax setup.
Responsibilities of the Tax Coordinator
Prepare sales and use tax returns and related work papers
High degree of accuracy interpreting and analyzing numerical data
Detail- Oriented
Excellent communication skills
Respond to customer, vendor and intercompany sales and use tax questions and requests
Process and research customer A/R account tax corrections
Assist with maintenance of tax software systems including customer certificate setup
Assist with external tax audits and SOX compliance procedures
Support sales and use tax accounting and reporting process as needed
Report generation in Excel including large amounts of tax data and performing data analytics
Special projects as assigned
Requirements of the Tax Coordinator
1+ years of sales/use tax experience
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Technical degree preferred
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Previous experience with ERP systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.) and Vertex O-series and Returns
Compensation of the Tax Coordinator
Starting pay for this position is $17-$20/hour depending on experience

Salary: $17.00 to $20.00 /hour
