Established, progressive and growing CPG Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our expanding team. This strategic hire will assist in shaping and executing to overall vision and growth strategy for one of the company?s largest existing sales divisions. This enthusiastic and motivated sales executive will have a demonstrated track record of successfully prospecting, managing and growing all aspects of key National & Regional Accounts in the Convenience Store Channel. Preferred location is in our Denver, CO office, but also open to candidates in Dallas, Houston or Phoenix. Positive, collaborative, fun & financially rewarding work environment.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage key National & Regional Accounts and the corresponding broker network.
Directly prospect, deliver and manage targeted new key accounts.
Deliver the sales plan. Accountable for volume and distribution goals.
Provide direction and leadership to broker business managers to achieve sales objectives.
Manage all administrative projects to include: division tracking, goals, trade funds, expense management, deductions, broker evaluations and CRM.
Responsible for forecasting volume, new account distribution, new items sell-in and displays.
Work with stakeholders to develop long and short term account strategies and business plans.
Establish goals and priorities for profitable growth in top accounts.
Be the ?expert? in the designated accounts and communicate ideas, trends and updates internally.
Responsible for achieving specific sales and distribution objectives on each account, while maintaining spend goals.
Monitor trade spend ? ongoing involvement with channel trade spend criteria and budgets.
Involvement with major account promotional spend evaluations as needed.
Participation in annual planning; develop volume objectives, ensure accuracy and timelines are met, help guide and develop channel and key account strategies.
Build relationships with Senior Executives at strategic accounts.
Participate in trade events.
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree is preferred.
Three to Five years plus account management experience in the consumer products industry preferred.
Previous management of large accounts and brokers is desired, National and/or Regional scope preferred.
National and/or Regional HQ experience preferred.
Ability to travel extensively to meet with and to manage key accounts, sales team and brokers.
Must be results driven with exceptional decision making and judgment skills.
Qualifications:
Successful track record of managing accounts and brokers to achieve goals and objectives.
Strong experience in MS Office and IRI/Nielsen scan data required.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
Ability to problem-solve complex issues.
Demonstrate a high level of independence and self-motivation - take initiative and show resourcefulness while working in a flexible team environment.
Foster team participation.
