Program Manager Job Opening in Annandale, Virginia - World Health Ambassador (WHA) is a well-established international non-profit medical relief organization based in the Washington D.C. area. WHA seeks to deliver healthcare and healthcare education as well as emergency relief to underserved and underprivileged populations in the United States and abroad. The care and education provided by WHA is at no cost to the patient and is delivered without regard to ethnicity, political orientation or religion. WHA has traveled to Cambodia, Vietnam, St. Vincent, Myanmar, India and Laos to provide medical and dental care and provided educational services to healthcare providers that will allow the host countries to continue sustainable healthcare.
WHA is seeking to employ a FT/PT Program Manager (PM) to responsible for overseeing all of the operational task of the organization. The PM will Coordinate all missions and programs for WHA, including administrative operations, mission planning, fundraising, budgeting, and community outreach. The PM will help Develop and implement programs that align with the organization's mission and support the organization's goals. The PM will be responsible for special events that publicize the organization and its programs to the community.
WHA is looking for the following skills in the PM Applicant:
Fundraising (minimum of 2 years with successful results)
Bachelor?s degree plus 2-4 years in non-profit management
Familiar with standard concept, practices and procedures with a medical mission focus non-profit
Able to multi-task; Take initiatives while working independently
Assist in the development of grants applications and proposals
Be able to formulate, lead and see projects to completion while leading and directing the work of others
Oversee monitoring and evaluation of missions and programs while ensuring accurate and timely reporting to board of directors.
Budget management
Website/Social media skills
Proficient in Office Microsoft including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Able to type 50 wpm
Objectives and goals:
Maintaining communications with team members, local chapters, donors, sponsors, and foreign countries
Promoting WHA program via networking events and social media
Increasing WHA funding via fund raising events and grant applications
Assisting treasurer and board/executive members with budget management
Overseeing medical and dental mission logistics and supports
