Medical Assistant - OB/GYN Job Opening in Burnsville, Minnesota - Join the Fairview Center for Women Clinic as a Medical Assistant in an OB/GYN setting! As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient and family centered care principles through performing a variety of high level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families.
To be successful the Medical Assistant must;
*Gather information and documents to support the patient visit
*Be responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines
*Promote teamwork with all members of the health care team
*Maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow
*Room patients, take vitals and health history, document in an electronic medical record, give injections and assist with minor procedures
Required Qualifications:
*Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program (or be a current LPN within Fairview)
*Current BLS certification required upon hire
Preferred Qualifications:
*Current certification by the AAMA
*Previous experience in a clinic setting
