Part Time Administrative Assistant Job Opening in los angeles, California - Part Time Administrative Assistant The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), is a private, non-profit national organization dedicated to finding the cure for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. CCFA sponsors basic and clinical research of the highest quality, offers a wide range of educational programs for patients and health care professionals, and provides supportive services to patients and family members. CCFA seeks a Part Time Development Assistant (25hrs/week) for our Greater Los Angeles Chapter. This position will be responsible for providing administrative support for the Chapter. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to data entry into event database, website maintenance, mailings to constituents, processing checks and credit cards and administrative support for meetings and events as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: � Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the office. � Perform general clerical functions including filing, copying, faxing, non-profit bulk mail procedures. � Answer the telephone. � Maintain office supplies and office equipment. � Process tributes and memorials. � Responsible for all financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Maintain appropriate supporting documentation. � Perform periodic and required close-out functions including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of monthly statements and related reports as needed for Executive Director. � Forward all required financial reports to national headquarters by required deadlines. � Manage database including routine acknowledgement letters and receipts, monthly additions, changes, and update reports. � Assist in the recruitment and management of volunteers for assigned special events, programs, and activities. Assure appropriate utilization of volunteer skills and resources. Provide guidance to volunteers in planning and implementing their tasks. Provide recognition for their time and effort. � Maintain accurate and complete records and files for each assigned special event, program and activity and routinely review the status of each with the Executive Director. QUALIFICATIONS: � Associates or BA/BS degree � Minimum one to two years in not-for-profit fundraising, preferably within a health-related organization. � Must be proficient in Microsoft Office � An effective communicator, both written and oral. � Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail oriented ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
