This Regional Sales Manager position will be responsible for overseeing a team of 7 sales agents; for meeting the sales and profit goals in the assigned territory; and for selling their line of electrical connectors, circuit protectors, electronic controls, terminal blocks, industrial power bus systems, building automation and network and field bus systems.
Essential Duties:
Manage and develop new sales opportunities for all assigned product groups.
Manage channel partners within assigned Region.
Train channel partners and customers on all assigned product groups.
Provide field market intelligence; e.g., competitive information, market trends, etc.
Conduct regularly scheduled territory reviews with authorized distributors, agents and Territory Sales Representatives.
Recruit and retain Sales Representatives and Territory Sales Representatives as directed by Management.
Develop, train, and provide leadership guidance to sales employees assigned to the region.
Meet sales goals for the region.
Understand market size and potential opportunity for growth. Implement marketing programs to further penetrate the market.
Provide technical and commercial support to channel partners, customers, and Territory Sales Representatives.
Develop quotations, project layouts, demonstrations and competitive comparisons.
Report all sales activities to the VP of Sales and company management
Coordinate sales and marketing activities within assigned Region
Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
Qualifications:
Technical undergraduate degree ( engineering degree is a plus)
5 - 7 years of experience selling industrial, electrical and electronic components in a management roll.
Sales experience in the OEM and MRO marketplace.
Experience working with industrial distribution, OEMs, System Integrators and other potential customer opportunities.
Sales experience with electrical components and systems in the industrial marketplace.
Experience with machine building applications highly preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent presentation, communications and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Travel required.

Salary: $120,000.00 to $140,000.00 /year
