Lignetics is a $75-$100M manufacturing business with 9+ manufacturing locations across the US. The business has rapidly expanded in the last 24 months through multiple acquisitions. The growth strategy includes continued bolt-on acquisitions within the industry as well as organic growth through enhanced strategic customer relationships and product diversification. The business is profitable and currently building out the corporate platform to allow for the aggressive growth plans. A likely IPO in the future will be another catalyst for growth. The company plans to more than double in size in the next 3-5 years.
Position Description:
This role can be located remotely anywhere in the Northwest Region of the US. Responsible for all sales and customer activity within assigned geographic region. A creative and strategic sales professional that will provide innovative ideas for business growth. Responsible for maintaining, growing, and expanding customer base and product sales.
Major Areas of Responsibility Include:
Develop a sales strategy to drive execution of annual sales budget for specific region.
Design and implement a strategic business plan that utilizes team resources and maximizes customer outreach.
Develop, present, and negotiate compelling customer line reviews with a solution oriented approach.
Review and analyze sales results and compare actual v. projected and provide regular forecast updates with detailed action plans.
Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives.
Assist in the development of new products, such as identifying developing trends, recommending new products, performing market research, and critiquing competitive products.
Facilitate new market development; provide guidance and strategic leadership, development and implementation of marketing strategies for continued growth.
Actively pursue new business opportunities within the assigned region.
Track Industry trends, identify opportunities and monitor and track competitive products/pricing.
Utilize company tools such as Sage CRM to bridge communication and maximize efficiency.
Primary Objectives:
Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing current customer base as well as seeking new customers and opportunities.
Professionally represent company at all functions and events. Provide consistent and timely communication.
Promote world class sales and service standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience selling to Hardware, Farm Supply and wholesalers in Independent and Two Step Channel of distribution preferred.
Experience in wood or like industry preferred.
Proven success in sales position consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
Demonstrated ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
Above average skills in communication both oral and written.
Above average computer skills (including Excel & Power Point) required.
Ability to Plan and Prioritize Key Initiatives.
Excellent one on one presentation skills and in group setting.
College degree preferred.
50%-75% Travel.
