On-Site Sales Representative Job Opening in Springfield, Tennessee - Job Summary
Serve as the liaison and point of contact between customer and EKNA sales team for day to day production topics
Anticipate customer order requirements, changes, inventory issues or business concerns and communicate to EKNA sales and production teams to aid in strategic planning and forecasts
Maintain accurate inventory levels at the customer site and perform daily counts
React to production quality issues as needed and work to implement rapid solutions
Work closely on site with customer and functional departments to resolve open issues (i.e. production line, Engineering, Accounting etc) that arise on a day to day basis
Description
Serve as a production planner and coordinate related functions that include but are not limited to the following: place weekly orders, monitor customer planning report, communicate supplier capabilities, track and report production plans, and expedite orders as needed.
Must work with the EHP Engineering group to manage projects and participate in cost out activities and interact with EHP Engineering department and suppliers they represent.
Respond to quality concerns and coordinate the efforts to facilitate improvement and measure progress as needed which may include tasks such as product quarantines, root cause analysis, PPM measurements, customer returns, and presentations.
Follow and represent EK on site for any production line subjects, experiments, improvements, usage, service and delivery issues.
Work with accounting group to resolve any open issues or invoicing concerns.
Facilitate discussions with the sourcing and service group on quotations and the warranty/service requirement process.
Attend customer daily production meetings
Work with EKNA shipping and receiving department to coordinate delivery information
Requirements
EDUCATIONAL (required): 2 Year Degree in Degree or the work equivalent
EXPERIENCE (required): Minimum of 3 Years of Manufacturing (preferably in planning or customer service)
TRAINING (preferred): Minimum of 1 Year in Technical or Process Role; Strong communication skills (excellent grammar and language skills) and able to communicate with all levels of employees, Proficiency in excel and AS 400
DESCRIPTION OF PHYSICAL
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY (required): Able to handle glass panels weighing 8lbs for testing or experiments and transport it within the building. Must be able to physically climb and fit in tight spaces (dirty spaces) for physical count. Walking/standing in assembly and warehouse environment.
MENTAL ACTIVITY (required): Able to concentrate for intermittent time periods on creating and/or editing reports. Able to manage broad range of customer concerns that may involve complaints due to quality or service issues and/or frequent changes to material requirements in high volume manufacturing environment. Able to be self-directed, work independently and manage one?s emotions in periods of high stress, conflict, frustration or escalation.
TIME/TRAVEL ACTIVITY (if applicable): Travel as needed to EKNA (Fountain Inn, SC). Daily travel between assembly floor and warehouse location (4 mile distance). Must be willing to work weekends as needed and flexible schedules per customer requirements.
DESCRIPTION OF ELEMENTS
WORK HAZARD (Risks): Common risks associated with glass handling such as cuts, scrapes or scratches. Works around noise in a fast paced work environment (including fork lift traffic).
PPE (required): Must wear any PPE required in customer areas (example: Safety glasses, steel toed shoes, Kevlar sleeves, gloves, safety identification vest).
ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE (if applicable): Exposed to a mix of industrial and office environments (example: forklift propane exhaust, dust, dirt common to industry).
