Product Manager
Bigfoot is seeking a smart, driven product manager who has experience building world-class consumer products. As a relentless advocate for the needs of end users, you will serve as the organizational "glue," connecting the technical and business functions - including User Experience, Engineering, Regulatory, and Clinical - to define and build Bigfoot's first products and services.
Our product manager needs to be able to go high and low ? stepping back to shape strategy and product / service features, as well as diving into the pixels of mobile and web apps. You will ensure smooth transitions of the product through the development lifecycle, taking the product from concept through commercial launch. As a product manager, you will shape the future of how people live with Type 1 and insulin-requiring Type 2 diabetes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Build and launch products and services that make a difference.
Work at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience design, representing the voice of the business and end-users throughout product development, to drive product definition into execution.
Develop an in-depth, empathetic understanding of Bigfoot?s target customers and their needs.
Participate in full life-cycle product management, including strategy/concept development, requirements definition, development, testing, and deployment.
Serve as the product owner to various development teams to define and prioritize scope throughout the development cycle.
Manage commercial relationships with one or more external, strategic partners.
Flex where needed, providing support for clinical trials, usability testing, and a variety of other business functions.
Coordinate launch of all new products and services to the commercial market.
Must haves we?re looking for:
3-5 years of experience of product development and/or product management experience with a focus on software products and technologies.
Experience with product launches, downstream marketing, and product roll out.
Results-oriented and highly productive, as demonstrated by working as a product or project manager in high performing teams that has built, deployed, and iterated on high tech or healthcare-related products.
Excellent collaborator: experience successfully managing and building strong working relationships with cross-functional teams.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with external parties.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated, highly organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to flex across a variety of roles in an innovative, fast-paced, start-up environment.
Strong technical and leadership skills: decisive, determined, strategic, and able to lead, motivate, and inspire others.
We?d prefer if you also have:
Experience in Class II/III medical devices.
Knowledge of Type 1 Diabetes / strong diabetes disease state and diabetes product knowledge.
Experience working in an agile environment.
Educational Requirements
BA/BS in life sciences, engineering, business, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
MBA or Masters in related field a plus.
