Position Overview
Protective Insurance seeks a full-time Premium Auditor I for its Premium Audit Department in Carmel, Ind. This individual will be responsible for performing premium audits on the Workers' Compensation policies and providing excellent customer service to insureds.
Primary Duties
Process premium audits for all Workers? Compensation policies when expired or cancelled
Maintain compliance of the premium audit process utilizing the established departmental guidelines
Conduct follow-up calls on outstanding audits when necessary
Review audit submissions and request additional information from the insured as needed
Work with outside audit vendor(s) when physical audits are requested
Provide excellent customer service at all times
Work with the Accounting Department and Underwriting Department as needed
Maintain cohesive working relationships with all areas of the corporation
Assist the Premium Audit Supervisor with other work or projects as assigned
Skills/Requirements
Degree in accounting or math or equivalent work experience in premium auditing preferred
Completion of the ISO/PAAS TAPS online course within 3 months of employment
Property and casualty license and/or applicable insurance certification(s) preferred
Completion of Associate in Premium Auditing (APA) 91 and APA 92 preferred
Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
