Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation required Job Description: Wedding Coordinator / Catering Sales We are an Event Planning company located in Los Angeles, near South Pasadena. We specialize in planning weddings. We are looking for experienced coordinators and interns interested in gaining experience in the event planning / wedding coordinating field. After completing hours and tasks listed below, you will gain enough experience to work in the hospitality field or coordinate your own weddings. You will gain experience in the following areas; Sales learn sales techniques over the phone, in person, closing a deal, determining budgets, create estimates Consulting determine client�s needs, creating a detailed time-line, listing vendor arrivals, responsibilities so that vendors can work cohesively, creating a check list for bride, refer vendors Marketing Where to market yourself on web-sites, magazines, bridal shows, learn about marketing material for yourself Catering Experience Learn how to properly set up a dining table, kitchen area, determine catering rental needs, create floor plans, lighting, learn logistics in creating an event at a private venue, make menu programs, chef menu�s, loading list Assist In Coordinating On event day, you will confirm vendor arrivals, assist with event set-up, service and tear down, assist with setting up bride�s personal items, follow time-line and work, direct and coordinate vendors, oversee staff set-up and assist with rental set up, learn how to manage an event, learn how to resolve problematic situations when problems arise, learn leadership skills, learn how to build vendor and relationships Gain Experience Working In A Catering / Event Planning Office Candidate will also assist in all general office duties filing, typing, organizing the office, and running errands. Candidate must expect to work long hours and long weekends. This is an entry level position with opportunity for growth and ideal for someone seeking a long term career as a Wedding Coordinator. Office Basic Duties: Answer phones / check messages / respond to e-mail inquires Type 40 wpm / ten-key / file / sort mail / fax / Schedule and confirm appointments, greet clients, light sales over phone and in person Computer experience: MS word / excel / internet excellent written and verbal communication skills Personal traits: We are looking for an office assistant with a professional voice and appearance. We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, assertive person with a very pleasant personality and positive attitude. Must be self-confident, have a take charge personality and able to work independently.
