Saint Alphonsus Rehabilitation Services (STARS) is currently seeking an Occupation Therapist (combination in-patient and outpatient) for a full time permanent position in Baker City, in beautiful eastern Oregon. Nestled beneath the Elkhorn Mountains, Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Baker City serves Baker County and surrounding areas. We have a great team of therapists in place that provide a fun team atmosphere and collaborative working environment. Our friendly staff will train and mentor the newly graduated! Skills, knowledge, education and experience:
New Grad Opportunity!
Graduated from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy with a B.S., M.S., or M.O.T. degree and completion of the required field work and internships.
Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist by the Oregon Occupational Therapist Licensing Board.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification required.
Must understand all basic occupational therapy skills and be able to perform them accurately; must demonstrate good evaluation and observation skills for strength assessment, equipment recommendations, home evaluations, and range of motion assessment.
Must be proficient in the application of modalities and procedures used in physical medicine.
Must be able to apply an adequate knowledge of anatomy, function, and structure.
Must be cognizant of safety issues and demonstrate skills in reading and writing, and be able to communicate professionally.
Must have organizational skills and the ability to problem-solve.
