Senior Accountant (Audit) Job Opening in Los Angeles, California - Responsibilities:
Plan and perform licensing and royalty audits to verify that the proper amount of royalties was paid to our clients for the license of their intellectual property rights.
Plan and perform other operational audits and special projects to ensure proper controls exist and are functioning and risk is appropriately mitigated.
Create audit work papers to document audit performed and the results of those procedures.
Prepare audit reports that clearly, concisely and accurately detail the results of the audits.
Create work products such as audit programs, analysis, client correspondence, and memoranda.
Effectively present information and respond to questions from management and clients.
Foster and develop client relationships maintaining superior customer service.
Operate as a team player with a "No job is too big or too small" attitude.
Work well under pressure managing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously while remaining composed and professional.
Maintain and build professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
Perform general office tasks, special projects and other duties as requested.
Travel to client and/or audit locations as necessary.
Adhere to professional standards (i.e., AICPA).
Desired Qualifications:
CPA candidate or certified preferred.
Accounting degree (or equivalent).
Must have 3+ years of public accounting experience.
Strong technical skills in accounting and auditing.
Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally (up to 15%).
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Strong analytical skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to keep office and client matters strictly confidential
