Job description
Responsible for generating total system specifications with specifying engineers, a limited group of select design-build commercial contractors, consultants and facility management teams. Focused effort on our client's Variable Refrigerant Flow systems, controls, and other products and their applications.
Responsibilities of the VRF & Controls Sales Specialist
Call on local architects, engineers, and design-build professionals to educate them on our client's Variable Refrigerant Flow systems, controls, and other products and their applications.
Develop relationships with local engineers, architects, contractors, and other specifiers.
Conducts product introduction meetings and product training sessions, for both internal and external customers.
Participate in local professional networking groups, industry associations, and functions.
Prepare and deliver educational presentations to architects, engineers, contractors, and internal personnel.
Assist with design and application of our client's products.
Keep track of job bids and maintain accuracy of job bid database.
Advise management on market conditions, including competitive landscape and market opportunities.
Develop sales personnel to be proficient in selling/offering VRF and Controls products.

Qualifications of the VRF & Controls Sales Specialist
Bachelor?s degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years sales experience, preferably in the HVAC industry.
Minimum of 2 years calling on the engineering community.
Be technically competent in the field of HVAC
Have a good working knowledge of electrical / refrigeration / air flow
Previous experience with Variable Refrigerant Flow and/or Controls application and design preferred.
Familiar with and other Microsoft Office products.
Willing to travel.
Excellent public speaking skills.
Compensation for the VRF & Controls Sales Specialist
Salary for the VRF & Controls Sales Specialist $60,000 - $67,000
Relocation assistance available
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field,
minimum of 2 years sales experience,
minimum of 2 years calling on the engineering community,
technical competency in the field of HVAC
Preferred Skills:
Excellent public speaking skills,
familiar with Microsoft Office,
