Job Summary The Sales Support Representative is the primary point of contact between field sales personnel and Corporate headquarters. Daily duties include administration of inventory, sales dispute resolution, and direct-to-customer order fulfillment. The Sales Support Representative ensures orders are processed timely and accurately through the sales order system.
Principal Responsibilities
? Process, verify, and manage customer accounts, sales, orders, pricing, etc. in the database system and work with Materials Management to ensure timely and successful delivery
? Operate as the main point of contact for all customer interaction via phone, email, and fax
? Conduct positive interaction with Sales Representatives to resolve discrepancies and/or customer issues
? Maintain knowledge of consignments, Sales Representative needs, hospital contacts, etc. in assigned region
? Maintain knowledge of basic product characteristics and communicate to customers when questions arise
? Work under moderate supervision with the capacity to make independent decisions as needed
? Manage initial purchase order collection and pending case notification
? Manage inventory of assigned Sales Representatives to guarantee the product needed for scheduled cases
? Work closely with internal departments such as Production, Materials, Inventory, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Quality, etc. to ensure proper ordering and shipment of product
? Communicate with patients/customers and provide registered physician contact information in the assigned area if appropriate
? Coordinate return of product if authorized
? Facilitate ongoing training to assist Sales Representatives in learning the order and database systems and administrative processes
? Assist in the training of new Sales Support Representatives
? Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
? High school diploma or equivalent required
? 1 ? 3 years of experience in a call center, order entry, or sales support role
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
? Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
? Experience with CRM applications and/or database systems
? Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
? Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
? Time management skills
? Ability to multitask
? Detail-oriented
? Strong phone and email etiquette
? Ability to adjust and adapt to a changing environment
