Accountant Job Opening in Flushing, New york - Crystal Window & Door Systems, Ltd. is an award winning manufacturer of a full production line of quality, energy efficient vinyl and aluminum windows for residential and commercial use. We are currently looking for Accountant to join our fast-paced and innovative team.
The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Establish credit limitations on customer accounts and handles special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment
Establish and update customers' credit activities
Review collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures
Audit delinquent accounts considered to be uncorrectable to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to account
Coordinate with others, including personnel in company branches and credit card companies, to exchange information and update controls
Submit delinquent accounts to attorney or outside agency for collection
Prepare and review A/R, A/P aging report
Review and approve shipment record
Conduct high volume of daily collection calls on past due accounts to achieve weekly cash collection goals
Enter finalized cash receipts and update accounts receivable ledger by customer account
Reconcile bank statements
Reconcile report discrepancies
Sort and match invoices with sufficient support documents
Prepare batches of invoices for data entry
Review, analyze and process AP related transaction and documentation
Coordinate with purchasing department and others to ensure prompt payment for major suppliers and other AP matters
Qualifications:
B.A. degree in Accounting preferred
Minimum of 2 years AR, AP experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skill required
Proficient in using spreadsheets application (Microsoft Excel a must) along with Microsoft Office package
Bilingual in Mandarin and English preferred
