Outside Sales Representative Job Opening in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE:
Territory ? Northeast Region; West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania
PURPOSE:
This full-time position is to sell company products and services to customers while meeting their expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
To propose solutions and sell customers on company products and services to meet their equipment needs
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Company product, services and pricing structure
Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business
Determine customer needs and propose appropriate service needs
Meet or exceed business sales goals.
Complete scheduled and cold call prospecting activities to establish first and follow up appointments with customer decision makers
Prepare and deliver sales and follow up with key decision makers
Work with different departments to ensure successful sales
Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and respond accordingly
Regularly meet with Sales Manager to review sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
Working knowledge of underground and surface mining operations.
Experience in selling to underground mining operations, to include conventional and Longwall installations.
Experience in selling off-road heavy equipment parts and components, specifically in mining industry
Must present and communicate in a professional manner
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be organized with good time management skills
Possess proven analytical/problem solving solutions for the customer and the company
Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications
Previous cold calling experience
Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies
Possess strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor?s Degree preferred, but not required. 4+ years of experience in similar position. Proof of successful sales record. Valid driver?s license. Willing to be road-warrior. Able to pass drug and background tests. Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, hydraulic experience a plus. Excellent compensation, commission and benefits package.
