Director of Nursing Long Term Care Job Opening in Derby, Vermont - My client, a small hospital in Northern Vermont, needs an experienced Director of Nursing for Long Term Care Tech to join their team. The Director is responsible for the delivery of patient care and all nursing activities for the facility. The Director creates a caring and comforting environment for the residents through the maximization of resources to achieve effective care and quality clinical outcomes. Ensures compliance with established organizational, professional and accreditation standards and state/federal laws and regulations. Ensures staff provides high quality care according to the policies and standard nursing practices. Develops and maintains clinical standards of care and practice. Is responsible for staff selection, development and appraisal.

Experience Required: Minimum of 3 - 5 yeas long term care RN experience with a track record of taking on progressively responsible levels of responsibility. Ability to act independently in responding to complex problems.

Education: Must possess, at a minimum, a Registered Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university. BSN preferred
