Manager of Accounts and Reporting - Finance Job Opening in toledo, Ohio - Manager of Accounts and Reporting - Finance About the Job: PURPOSE OF POSITION Under general supervision, the Manager of Accounting Reporting will manage and direct all the corporate financial reporting for the Company and provide leadership and direction to staff with respect to financial reporting, and cash flow management. The manager, a member of the finance management team in Ottawa, reports to the Director of Finance. The incumbent will act as a group leader for a small group of technical staff. Responsible for the reporting of corporate financial information (forecasts, actual results, and certain strategic plan information). The manager also is responsible for providing financial support to the Company to achieve its operational and financial goals and objectives. This position requires an experienced professional with strong project-based accounting and financial reporting experience, plus excellent interpersonal skills. TYPICAL DUTIES Timely and accurate completion of all corporate financial reporting, forecasting, plan and related reporting requirements. All aspects of the Company�s income statement and balance sheet, monthly actual reports and related forecasts, cash flow management, and customer/management reporting; Financial management of all Company & divisional plans/budgets, including an understanding of overhead rates and cost absorption; Maintaining the integrity of the reporting and forecasting functions. Provide and analyze monthly and annually financial and operational results for the Office of the Director of Program and Financial Accounting and provide recommendations, if any. Prepare all financial information for the external and internal Audit functions as required. Review financial processes and controls for efficiency and make recommendations for improvement opportunities. Responsible for the financial preparation and operational plan to support the long-term growth over the following five years by way of developing and reviewing the operational budget. Work with senior management to ensure complete alignment of activities with other Company priorities and efforts, while ensuring financial performance is in compliance with corporate guidelines, driven by external economic conditions. Responsible for reliable cash flow projections. Ensure efficient operations of financial accounting functions. Lead and motivate employees enabling them to achieve peak productivity and performance. Responsible for all departmental personal matters including hiring, termination, performance appraisal, conflict resolution, salary, staff development and cross training. Keeping abreast of current Divisional activity with regard to orders, various programs� status production costs and schedules EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE An university degree in related discipline or equivalent; Completion of a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA); Advanced use of MS Excel, proficient with other Software packages including Word, Outlook, etc., Oracle and or Hyperion would be considered an asset; Demonstrated financial management expertise and knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). � Bachelor�s degree, or equivalent experience � 5 to 8 years of staff and/or technical project/process management experience � Excellent analytical, organizational and multi-tasking skills � Excellent oral and written communication skills � Ability to organize, delegate and leverage resources to accomplish objectives toledo oh ohio
