Travel Sales Agent - Greenville, NC (East Carolina) Location Job Opening in Greenville, North carolina - **THIS POSITION IS THE TRAINING POSITION IN THE CAREER PATH, WHICH WILL LEAD TO A POSITION OF TRAVEL SALES AGENT WITH UNLIMITED EARNING POTENTIAL**
Primary Function
Our Travel Sales Agents begin their career assisting members through their expertise in and knowledge of destinations throughout North America. You will first become an expert in the preparation of the famous AAA ?Trip Tik? driving route, while interacting with members by phone and in person, assisting with a wide range of member products and services.
A typical day as a Travel Agent working with AAA includes a day filled of multiple tasks. Travel Agents assist customers with multi-faceted leisure travel plans and advise them of travel needs.
Agents must build relationships with a variety of customers, understand their wants, anticipate their needs and determine the best products to match their vacation desires and travel style.
Travel Agents participate in an extensive four phase training program to advance their career to a Senior International Travel Agent.
A successful Travel Agent must be able to research destinations, fares, hotels, suppliers and be able to effectively and efficiently handle multiple tasks. Some basic skills travel agents must have include:

Computer and Social Media Skills
Presentation Skills
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist members with routing services, general travel and AAA membership information, hotel , and auto , travel store items.
Maintain inventory of map materials and tour books to ensure that supplies are on hand as needed
Responsible for day-to-day cashiering with membership fees, attraction ticket sales, travel store purchases and other various member purchases
Seek potential to grow membership base through sales and service
Qualifications
Strong Desire to pursue a career as a Travel Agent
Business Management or Hospitality related college degree, preferred
Demonstrated ability to read maps
1 to 2 years of Recent Customer Service experience, required
1 to 2 years of Recent Retail industry experience, preferred
Likes to work in an exciting, fast paced atmosphere!
Enjoys learning North American geography and destinations AND enjoys providing great, detailed driving instructions and itineraries!
Legal Background Requirements:
No felony convictions within the past ten years
