Web Application Developer (WordPress Plug-in) Job Opening in Laurel, Maryland - We are looking for a Web Developer with Wordpress Plug in experience for a 1 year contract located in Laurel, MD.
**Only open to candidates who are to work on a W2 basis at this time**
Responsibilities:
Web Developer will create applications using plug-ins, extensions, widgets, functions, and short codes for WordPress Multisite environments with an emphasis on responsive designs for desktop and mobile platforms using PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer
Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience designing and building scalable web applications
Ability to read/write/code in the following languages: PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3
Extensive knowledge and experience in developing implementing, and supporting WordPress Multisite environments to include plug-ins, extensions, widgets, functions, shortcodes, themes, and layouts with an emphasis on responsive designs for desktop and mobile platforms
Experience with LESS or Sass
Experience with RESTful API development, implementation, testing, and utilization
Experience in developing for and on LAMP environments
Experience with SVN, GIT, Eclipse, etc; General team collaboration development tools
Web developer must have strong discipline in documenting code
Ability to perform coding, quality testing, and documentation on complicated revisions to existing applications, and creates efficient and maintainable new applications
6 or more years of experience designing and building scalable web application
Experience with NISPOM and RMF requirements
Experience with ISSM/ISSO duties
