Sales Associate/Cashier Job Opening in Kittery, Maine - *NEED TO BE AVAILABLE WEEKENDS
Skills Needed:
Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, leadership skills, good customer service skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills and planning skills, etc. physically strong and able to stand for long periods of time.
Opening & Closing Procedures:
Employees will arrive at the shop by 9:15 AM to prepare for opening. Punctuality is important and excessive tardiness (3 or more times unexcused) will be subject to disciplinary action.
Two people will be on site at shop closing. Under no circumstances will one person close shop alone.
Tasks:
Perform A and B position duties as described in ? Policies & Procedures?.
Direct volunteer tasks.
Share Mission with donors and customers.
Place incoming donations in the back room.
Monitor dressing rooms, returning clothes to the rack when full.
Fill in displays when needed.
Check racks for slipping and empty hangers.
Assemble outfits on ?end caps.?
Cleaning to include vacuuming and bathrooms.
Back room duties (when directed by Management only).
Assisting in output of daily clothing donations (when time permits).
Familiarize yourself with our ? Unacceptable Donation List? in order to avoid misunderstanding and maintain customer relations.
If you need to leave the front desk unsupervised, for any reason, remove register key.
Conduct:
Personal phone calls, emails and texting will be limited to Employee?s lunch break unless an emergency.
A one-half hour lunch break is provided with an 8-hour work shift.
A 15-minute break is provided with a 4-hour work shift.
