What you?ll be doing...
The Manager will be primarily responsible for performing complex financial analysis and the preparation of periodic filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (?SEC?), primarily Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K, as well as other ad hoc projects that require externally reported financial information.
Specific Responsibilities
Responsible for performing complex analysis on the company?s financial statements and operating results related to the preparation of periodic filings with the SEC, primarily Forms 10-K and 10-Q, including footnotes and Management?s Discussion and Analysis.
Analyze the results of the company?s businesses and ensure that the results are accurately communicated to both internal and external stakeholders.
Work with corporate accounting and accounting policy teams to analyze transactions that the company enters into and determine proper accounting treatment / disclosure in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Work autonomously to develop solutions to complex accounting / disclosure issues and make recommendations to management.
Collaborate with Investor Relations, Legal, Treasury and the business units to ensure consistent and accurate reporting of results and messaging to external stakeholders.
Evaluate and analyze the company?s disclosures in our periodic SEC filings as compared to the required disclosures as prescribed in the U.S. GAAP checklist. This requires a detailed understanding of U.S. GAAP and the ability to evaluate whether specific accounting and disclosure requirements apply to the company. The Manager then must be able to determine if we have met all disclosure requirements.
Work independently to address and resolve questions / concerns raised by the external auditors.
Responsible for researching technical accounting issues and evaluating the disclosure impact related to new events and activities, as well as the impact of new accounting standard updates, as needed.
Responsible for assisting in the analysis of strategic transactions.
Responsible for preparation of reporting to support strategic transactions including preparation of carve-out financial statements. Evaluate and analyze the disclosures in the carve-out financial statements as compared to the required disclosures as prescribed in the U.S. GAAP checklist. This requires a detailed understanding of U.S. GAAP and the ability to evaluate whether specific accounting and disclosure requirements apply to the carve-out financial statements. The Manager then must be able to determine if we have met all disclosure requirements.
What we?re looking for...
You?ll need to have:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, Finance, related field or six or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience.
Certified Public Accountant.
Four or more years of experience working in public accounting or SEC reporting experience.
Even better if you have
MBA a plus.
Ability to meet strict deadlines in compressed time periods.
Experience in a large ERP environment.
Working knowledge of the complexities of a large global company and ability to operate within a matrix environment.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
