Direct Care Staff (Life Skills Trainer) Job Opening in lexington, Kentucky - Direct Care Staff (Life Skills Trainer) Radical Rehab Solutions, LLC provides community-based, post-acute rehabilitation programs for persons with acquired brain injury. Radical Rehab's Transitional Living Program is designed to provide a "bridge" between acute hospital-based rehabilitation and independent living in the community. Our Supported Living Program provides the ongoing supervision and assistance necessary to facilitate a return to life in the community. Radical Rehab utilizes intensive one-on-one Life Skills Training and participation in a Therapeutic Community ("milieu") to maximize the functional independence of the person with a brain injury. Potential areas of intervention include self-care, time management, money management, home management, meal preparation, and social behavior (e.g., anger management, inhibiting inappropriate remarks, heightening self-monitoring skills, awareness of impact of behavior upon others, perception of social cues). Following an initial stay in our community residences (which include a private room and maximum of two co-residents), the Transitional Living Program is then integrated into the home of the person with a brain injury, with the Life Skills Trainers initially present in the home to insure generalization of gains into the home environment. Radical Rehab is currently seeking full and part time staff to work in our residential homes. Applicants must have the following qualifications for employment: high school or college diploma or GED, social security card, valid driver's license, and proof of car insurance. We are currently hiring for the following shifts: 4pm to 12am and 12am to 8am Monday through Friday, and 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am Saturday and Sunday.
