Financial Controller Job Opening in Odessa, Texas - We, a newly formed growing Oilfield Services Company providing services primarily to the upstream energy sectors in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. We operate from two locations Kenedy, TX and Odessa, TX. We acquired an operating business, that was started in 2014 and the principals have more than 50 years of combined experience in OFS and the energy industry. Currently we have approximately 15 employees
We are seeking someone who can act as a controller out of the Odessa location and perform all accounting functions as the company is beginning its growth phase. This individual should be a hands on leader with experience in accounting & reporting and their continuous development & improvement. This person will report directly to the CFO and owners of the business.
POSITION DUTIES:
MONTHLY CLOSE/FINANCIAL REPORTING ? Oversee and participate in the monthly close process with all information provided for review on the 10th workday in compliance with US GAAP while ensuring all required transactions are recorded in the monthly results and appropriately distribute the monthly financial statements to the Management/Owners.
MANAGEMENT REPORTING (MONTHLY) ? Complete and prepare the month-end and annual financial reports, as well as design customized reports.
INVOICING ? Manage and administer daily invoicing.
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ? Manage & administer Accounts Receivable.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ? Manage and administer Accounts Payable.
TREASURY/CASH MANAGEMENT ? Manage all bank accounts and ledgers to ensure deposits, transfers, checks/wires and reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
TAX REPORTING ? Ensure all taxes are reported and remitted appropriately to all taxing authorities.
ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS ? Ensure the accounting system is constantly being reviewed for accuracy and continually improving processed in order to receive accurate and timely reports out of the system.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT ? Identify areas need of improvement in financial account applications and operational procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
CPA/CPA Candidate a plus but not a necessity
Minimum of 5 years accounting and supervisory experience

Salary: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
