Regulatory and Production Reporting Tech Job Opening in Dallas, Texas - The primary responsibility of this job is to coordinates with other members of the Engineering group to file and track all the necessary documentation and coordinates data acquisition for and support the Engineer team. The technician also works closely with field operations personnel to coordinate needed changes; and communicates clearly with contract personnel during modification and/or adjustment of equipment
Tracks crucial dates on tax incentive projects, including terminations. * Provides guidance on tax assumptions for project economics * Monitors RRC and Comptroller activities, including filings by others to keep abreast of changing interpretations. * Responsible for all H-14, H-13 filings and other similar tax related reports. * Monitors outside-operated activity for tax incentive opportunity. * Reviews with Government Accounting to ensure all wells that are eligible for tax credit are accounted for. * Answers requests for information on specific tax incentive projects from working interest owners * Interfaces and educates the engineers on the opportunities and requirements to comply with the regulations
Supporting field personnel in managing the production data * Compiling and forecasting production expense data * Generating production graphs and analyzing production trends utilizing computer applications * Participating in incident reviews and job safety analyses * Helping to coordinate spill reporting and remediation * Developing and adjusting procedures, policies, and operational guidelines
Qualifications
Education: * High School Graduate Knowledge: * Basic knowledge of Texas and Oklahoma severance taxes. * Basic knowledge of oil and gas related regulations in Texas and Oklahoma. * Computer proficiency is a must.
Experience: * 2 years of applicable industry experience preferred. * Oilfield Manager (OFM), Regulatory or Government Accounting experience is a plus.
Skills & Competencies: * Is results-oriented and is able to work with minimum supervision. * Has excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Works collaboratively with others to achieve common goals and positive results. * Possesses excellent organization, prioritization and follow-up skills.
Ability to identify problems, generate novel approaches, and implement solutions.
