Front Desk - Guest Services Job Opening in Gilford, New hampshire - Fireside Inn & Suites is looking to fill a position for our Guest Services, Front Desk position.
You will be assisting guest at check in and check out. Also assisting guest with needs during there stay at our resort. Hours will be primarily mornings and days. Weekends and some occasional evenings is a must.
Requirements
Supervisory experience.
Must be proficient in Windows operating systems.
Must be able to work overnight hours. Upwards of 30 hours a week is expected.
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.
Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
Must be readily available to work evenings and weekends, as this position includes nightly Manager on Duty responsibilities in the early evening and late morning hours.
Key of the Front Desk Clerk / Night Auditor:
Assist the Front Office Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager in the day-to-day operation of the hotel Front Office.
Supervise the operational activities of the hotel Front Desk within hotel guidelines to provide the highest standard of courteous service while permitting acceptable profit levels.
Perform all job functions and duties of Guest Service Representative. Including using One Tech PMS system to check guest in and out.
Ensure work is completed to include shift closings, room deposits and posting to nightly audit.
Perform house counts and review daily arrivals, identify potential problems with rooms? activity and take appropriate action.
Communicate activities and any problems and/or special information to the next shift.
Perform check-in and check-out procedures.
Take personal responsibility for correcting customer service problems.
Perform limited cleaning of the hotel's public areas as needed.
Serve as a security presence in the overnight hours by performing routine property walks, safety checks and through monitoring and interacting with guests.
Ensure that any violations to law or hotel policy are reported to General Manager.
Respond and act to all emergency situations that occur in overnight.
