Accountant Job Opening in Mount Pleasant, Michigan - Position Overview:
A local distribution company is in need of additional accounting staff to assist in their general A/P and A/R processing. The position requires closely working with the Company management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily maintenance of A/P and A/R processing
- Assist in month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions
- Assist in development, documentation, and maintenance of business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal control system
- Additional duties to be assigned as necessary
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience in a related position
- Experience in a related position
- Ability to display thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with coordinating month-end and year-end accounting period close process
- Experience with general ledger maintenance and financial statement management
- Capable of learning multiple accounting software systems ( EXCEL AND QUICKBOOKS
