JOURNEYS TRAINING MANAGER- JOB DESCRIPTION
Assist District Manager in molding the future growth and success of the Company by training and promoting future Store Managers. At the same time, develop necessary skill sets to perform the job functions required as a District Manager in Training.
Achieves sales goals and profitability targets in Home Store.
Recruits and interviews store management candidates (per District Managers instructions)
Trains, develops, and promotes store employees in the district.
Conducts store visits occasionally (per District Manager?s instructions)
Directs store operations and implements company policies and procedures
Communicate regularly with District Manager and corporate office staff
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience in retail stores at the Store Manager level, preferably one to two years of field management experience
Valid state motor vehicle operator?s license. Willingness to travel extensively in assigned territory.
Experience in the footwear industry preferred
Proven ability to increase sales and profitability
Proven ability to recruit, train and develop high-caliber teams
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment
Strong verbal communication skills
Will be certified in ALL of our training programs
Will be Authorized Auditor
Will complete the Training Manager certification course
Stand for long periods of time
