Senior Accountant Job Opening in Kent, Washington - ABOUT THE COMPANY:
The company is a growing food manufacturing company that is looking to accelerate their growth over the next couple years by investing heavily in facilities, equipment, and most importantly personnel.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Senior Accountant maintains and controls the general ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Position requires strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to set work priorities and work both autonomously and in a team environment required. The ideal candidate will have a mix of public accounting and business accounting experience as well as experience. The company is growing and expanding, and we are looking for a candidate who can grow and expand along with it.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ;
Perform hands on day-to-day activities.
Perform account reconciliations and maintenance of general ledger.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings.
Financial statement preparation and analysis.
Annual audit preparation.
Manage and process receivables and payables.
Maintenance of company fixed assets.
Cash management and forecasting.
Handle taxation reporting as required by regulatory agencies.
Participate in cross-functional teams for continuous company improvement, problem-solving and process analysis.
Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting required. CPA is a plus.
Minimum of three years of professional accounting experience in both public accounting and private industry including experience with month end close, reconciliations, annual reporting and all statutory reporting requirements.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically advanced Excel, required.
Proven knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Must possess excellent analytical skills.
Proven track record of working with minimal supervision, and partnering with diverse team members and outside sources required.
Proven success at demonstrating accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
Must be able to prioritize and stay focused when faced with multiple, diverse responsibilities.
Must possess a natural ability to provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers as required.
Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism, discretion and ethical standards.
